Sad to say that I did, and ended up pulling on it hard enough to break the end off in the pan. I left it in there for quite awhile. After a few hundred miles it bugged me enough to remove it again. This all stemmed from prying on the crankshaft sprocket when doing the 60k. Which no one should do. Use a puller instead! I could elaborate, but I'm too lazy to type it all out.
